My orthos slipped a lot. What I finally did was mount them in a 31.8 four
bolt stem with a shim. Now they don’t move at all. Maybe worth a try. Bill

rebuild of a 15 year old Atlantis. I already have replaced the wheels with
Atlas rims and am on my second silver crank so I’m not going new on those.

Thanks for all of your thoughtful responses. I certainly believe that Paul
brakes are excellent and worth the price. I guess that I was surprised that
the price wasn’t for a full brake set. But that is me being out of touch
with high quality components. Most likely I’m going to cancel the order
I was recently gifted $500 to Rivendell. My plan was to upgrade my 2007
Atlantis with Paul brakes and levers. I placed the order only to read later
that the brakes are sold per wheel. That’s more than I wanted to spend. So
before I call Rivendell tomorrow morning to cancel I’m wondering how fol

Very impressive. I like the Atlantis with big tires, what size? It appears
maxed. I never would have thought that orange and purple would work. But it
certainly has. That looks like a very fun bike to ride!

I’ve been riding my Gus for a year now. It’s taken some time to warm up to
it, but having ridden through the fall and now into winter I am loving it.
It definitely feels heavy, but when I want a ride without windchill, a bike
that can plow through water, mud, over roots, basically thru anything
Hugh, I run g ones 2.25 on my Atlantis with Atlas rims. The tire pushes the
limit but does work. The tires are solid on turns. I have an older model
Atlantis so they barely fit on the frame. I’m curious how you plan on
setting up your bike. Your previous Atlantis is one of my favorites, a true
I’m quite confused about the handlebar set up with my Gus Boots WILLsen. How
would waivie bars with the nitto v4 work. I like a little forward lean as to
not have too much weight on the saddle. Tough decisions.

I got lucky and snagged a large GB Willsen and now am thinking about
handlebars. What are Gus\Susie owners going to use for handlebars? Thanks for

Hey Jim. Sorry to hear of your injury. Sounds like I had the same surgery as
you will be having. I was involved in a hit and run and tore my labrum. I would
like to say it was an easy recovery, but it wasn't. I had the surgery in
November and finished pt in February. I went three times a week in
I own an Atlantis and a Hunqapillar. I have them set up differently. The
Atlantis is stripped of fenders and racks and I'm using it as an all-rounder.
The Hunqapillar has racks, 700 by 50 tires. I'm using the Atlantis like , I
think a Hilsen would be used. I'm thinking of selling the Hunqapillar
I own both an Atlantis and Hunqapillar and if I had to choose I'd go with the
Atlantis. To me the Atlantis is just about the perfect bike a person could own.
You can do anything on an Atlantis. Presently I ride it fender less, rack less
and it moves quickly. I can put fenders and knobbies on her

on Flickr and was impressed by several photos of the all rounder. I came to
rivendell after this model and know very little about it. Wha
I assume it's the first generation Hunqapillar , grey and red. The smart SAMs
are 2.25 and there is plenty of room for fenders. This is the bike I

I agree. I ride the smart SAMs in the winter on the Hunqapillar. They are
remarkably smooth and yet have a lot of grip. When I switch to the duremes my
ride is quieter but not much faster. Either way both tires are excellent.
