I have the Sigma 509. It is inexpensive ($15 at Amazon), battery last long
(over a year now) has auto start/stop and is easy to use.

Thank you Clayton. You have inspired me to try this set-up on my bike.

I have Schwalbe Maraton Supreme tires on my Atlantis and my Salsa
Fargo. Both are the 40mm size. When first installed, about a year
ago, they measured approximately 38mm. Today one set measures just
over 40mm and the othe set is 41mm.

Have a look at the Sugino Alpina crankset available from Velo-
Orange:http://www.velo-orange.com/sualcr.html
This is a 48/34 compact crank for a square taper JIS 110mm BB. At
$170 it seems like a very good deal.

You may also want to look at this crank from Shimano:

Of course, you will need to use the Shimano Hollowtech bottom bracket
but this crank is 50/34 and has crank lengths available in 172.5 mm.
This crankset is now on sale at Nashbar f
I recently purchased a Click-Stand. This is a folding aluminum pole -
similar to a lightweight tent pole. See http://www.click-stand.com/
Its not as convenient as a kickstand but it seems to work well.

Did you add the front mid-fork braze-ons? Or, did your Atlantis come
with these braze-ons from Rivendell?

About a year ago I built up a wheel with the DH-3N72 and have been
using it on my "around-town" bike. It's been working well so I
built-
up this new front wheel with the intention of using it on my tourning
bike (Atlantis). Well - I decided that the shiny SON hub would look
better with the rear
Has anyone used the Tubus fork mounting adaptor kit? I have a set but
have not used it yet. My plan is to mount these adaptors on my
Atlantis and then attach a Tubus Tara Rack.

I have a Brooks Flyer on my Salsa Fargo. It's set-up with Ti-Tech H
bars (Jeff Jones design). The bike and saddle are still new - maybe
300 miles.
The Flyer, strangely, is "harder" than the B17 or the B17 Champion
that are on my other bikes (both drop bar). I recall that both of the
B17s seem t
I also had the Marathon Supremes on my Atlantis. I had the 40mm size
mounted on Mavic A719 rims. The tires cornered well and had a smooth
ride but I was not completely satisfied with the overall feel/
handling. I changed to 35mm Paselas on Velocity Synergy rims and the
bike rode much better. I

Seth,
I have this rack on my Atlantis. I installed metal fenders on the
bike and secured the front fender to the rack via the "fender-top
mount". The fastener I used is a standard 5mm dia. metric bolt. The
same bolt that used for bottle mounts, fender mounts at drop-outs,
etc. Nothing special
eel has a great looking nickel finish - I'm just
disappointed with the "coarse clicking" noise. I'll either continue
to pursue resolution from IRD or maybe bit the bullet and purchase
another IRD freewheel.
