Greetings from the Okanagan!
Our household has 3 rivs from scouring the used depths of the internet.
Scored a Bleriot from Vancouver Island, a Heron Touring from a fellow in
the Fraser Valley and my partner has an Atlantis frame we had shipped up
from Colorado and built up and got the wheelset

Appreciate the threadless insight too Wes. I wouldn't have considered that
as an option. Bit I'll keep it in mind as I do a bit more research. Thank
you!

Wow - that's really generous Ted, thank you kindly. I'll let you know how
things proceed. Smart advice about paying attention to the axle/bearing
seat distance and to the rake. I should take stock and note that a new fork
won't necessarily be plug-and-play. No matter how much I would like that t
This is tangental to a Ron's Chest, but I saw this image in a Craigslist ad
and took a screengrab cause I thought it looked good with the Albastache

That's very nice - I like the sloping fork crown on there and was a good
idea to have Waterford put one together for you when you did.

Ok - appreciate your confirmation of the 48s fitting in there comfortably!

Greetings gang,
Wondering if any of ya'll have run ~650bx47ish tires on your Bleriot and
what kind of clearance that leaves you with (granted this is rim dependent,
in part). I've seen some images online with folks running Paul Racers and
Ultradynamico Rose (650bx47.99) and Gravelkings (650bx48

Hi Gang,
On the hunt for a ~55ish Atlantis/Appaloosa. To a lesser extent a Hillborne
or Romanceur. Frameset or complete is ok. Older frame with the shorter
chainstays also ok.
In Canada so ideally on this side of the border, or I'd have hopped on that
gorgeous Appaloosa in Portland already.

I'm glad to hear it Alexander. I'm pretty set on getting a 36mm pair for my
Heron touring bike, which is kinda the max clearance I think to get in
there and keep my fenders. Did your 27s and or 40s measure fairly true to
size? The other tires I've been leaning towards are the 38mm SOMA Shikoro's
Has anyone tried out the 36 Challenge Strada Bianca's as featured on the
Roadeo in the last e-blast—and if so, thoughts?
