(First post!)
I'm building one up right now. It's taking a while (or you could say I'm
taking my time) b/c I'm also building my fist set of wheels as part of a
class at my local co-op. The only in-progress photos I have are from my
cluttered basement, but I'll try to take so better ones soon. B
Ryan: Nope, not me, I'm in the north east. 51cm is a good fit for a
shortish guy too ;)
masmojo: Looking good.
I'll pull the stand out of the basement and take some photos.

Paypal f&f please.
Thanks,

Hi all,
My wife had a chance to ride a 46cm Appaloosa this past weekend and loved
it. Frames, or completes, that small are hard to find (and it seems that
Rivendell might not be making many production models in those sizes
anymore.) Dose anyone have any leads on a 46cm Appa, a 45cm Clem H, or
Thanks for the heads up Dave.

This is the method I've used to insert shims (which -- as others have said
-- work great once installed) as well as handlebars.

It works perfectly, and the little nut/bolt/dime jig holds the stem open so

Thanks for the replies everyone. It would be awesome to meet some of the kind

Not 100% sure if I'm free on that date (probably am!), but I'm in the
Boston area though. Cambridge to be exact. If you want to do a ride on the
Minuteman Bikeway I'd really suggest making a loop via the Battle Road
Trail (revolutionary war era dirt road, now a historic site) and the
Reformator
This new spot near the beginning/end of the Minuteman would be a great
place for lunch after a ride:

Hubway is our public bike sharing program here in
the Boston area. Lots of locations, relatively affordable, but
unfortunately it will not help you with finding a safe place to park your
bike.

I don't know that area of the city very well. Maybe contact the event
organizers?
Wally: I'm in for the ride. I'll PM you my contact info.

Wow, siting here in the northeast, those Marin Co. trails look magical.
Thanks for the ride report ... made my day.

Looks great! Love the blue. If the logo is what's bothering you about that
seatpost, it's just printed on. It comes off in no time with some #

I only have one, a 51cm red Rosco Bubbe, so it's my favorite. In the year
I've had it, it's great for everything I've had the opportunity to do with
it. Rocky and rooty MA trails, to a 100k Populaire, VT dirt roads, getting
me to and from work. Super stable, never twitchy, but not heavy or slugg
I don't know that you have any other options. When I had to do the same
thing I was told by a mechanic at my local co-op: next time I get a new
chain, get an extra master link and continue to take links from the same
donor.

I don't have a Quickbeam, but I do have a Rosco built abound a Qiuckbeam/SO

I have a North Street backpack. It's great. Really nicely made, and has a
flat bottom:

They make bigger ones, and convertible (to pannier) models, but I like the
simplicity of the one above.
Good luck,
