You're supposed to be looking at the bags! (I'm totally showing off my
custom 😬)

Oh, I still have the cranks, too. I forgot!

Campy fd left, yours for shipping, I've had this thing for ages and it's
gotta go. Clearance!

Hehe, the line is getting long with people who've told me that, Jason. This
happened to the seller, too: people were calling him with over-price offers
as he was packing it up for me! 😁

Thanks Roberta! The air is clear today so I'm going to get out there and
finally find out how my bike feels, I haven't even ridden it since it came
to me with dropbars that were wy too far away to reach.
Answers to several folk's questions, hopefully I'll remember them all:

Good call, Andrew, the seller said Toyo but my numbers look like yours. The
first letter is hard to decipher but I think it's V=5=May then 09..must be
a Waterford. I'm ok with this!
Your Bombadil is so nice.

Indeed, I had them around and thought the gold would brighten up the
raw-finish frame a bit.
Kim and Joel, thanks!
Kim, why are you looking for Bombadils?

Indeed David, this is happening as we speak. The cables/housing are on
their normal sides, then they cross over in front of the headtube (with
room to spare, I cut the housing long) to reach the swapped shifters. All
good 👍

Thanks Jonathan. Yes, it's an unbelievable drag that I can't ride it, I
invested serious cash to get such a nice build on a Riv I've always
admired. But whaddyagonnado?

Dave, can you post a pic of the pieces as you see them now? I/we should be
able to tell you how it needs to go back together, or determine something's
drastically wrong with it.

Almost. The cassette and derailer will be black, but I'm running a shiny
new nickel Wipperman Connex chain so it'll be a good while before I can pop
a black one in there. It was supposed to look good with the silver/black XT
derailer..oops! 😁

I see your point about the bars, but I've ridden a lot of Dahons and the
Brommie rides at least as well as they do. I just finished a 10 mile ride
on mine and would easily triple it without a thought. They make a
singlespeed that could be converted to fixie.

Wow, really? My PBH seems to be closer to 78 than 80, which had me wary of
this frame size. Hmm..
