I have to agree. As much as I'm loving my rivendell bike, they were
TERRIBLE at responding to my emails - slow response times, and curt
responses. And it isn't as easy to just call them from Australia.

I don't know if it's just me but my recently acquired Clem Smith has me
continually tinkering and tweaking the setup - trying new positions for the
microshift thumbies, different bosco bar heights and angles and it got me
wondering if this has been the same experience for others? Do you find

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody! So far I've commuted every day on
the Clem Smith and loving it.
Still learning its quirks and movements and have definitely pushed it to
what I thought would be its limits (dirt tracks and sand) and yet it
continues to deliver.
One thing I notice when ri

Hi all, I posted this before but I used an emoji so perhaps it didn't get

After some ideas on suggestions for grips for the bosco bars. Has anyone tried
cloth bar tape on the bosco bar? Cheers!

I'm looking for opinions on your favorite bar and grips/tape combinations.
I'm thinking of going full cotton bar tape on my bosco bar but looking for
other ideas. Show off your setup!

So looks like my Clem Smith 🚴♂️ is on it's way across the pond to me in
Australia so now I'm looking at how to set her up when she arrives! 😁
Will be running the stock bosco bars at first and wondering whether I
should look at some regular rubber/leather hand grips or instead just

Yeah they don't seem to sell the build kits any more. In terms of shipping,
turns out shipping a frame is only $10 cheaper than sending the full bike.
I did however think I would be able to source components and build up my
own one cheaper than a complete bike. However this doesn't seem to be th
Thanks! I can't find 650b rim brake compatible wheels in Australia. I'm
even prepared to build my own wheels if I can locate some rims. That is
also a struggle. It seems that rim brake compatible 650b wheels in
Australia really are becoming dinosaurs..

Thanks Patrick! Yes it certainly is a puzzle. Moreso where to find the
pieces one I've selected them! The main thing I'm really struggling with is
the 650b wheelset.
It is hard because I could go and get a Soma/Surly/Salsa frame for the same
price, with much easier access to wheels (disc brake
Right on the edge re sizing though my PBH is 86cm so 52 seems the right

Hey everyone, long story short I'm from Australia and after a Riv bike so I
can ditch the lycra and my race bike :) Am looking at the 52cm Clem H in
Green, as it seems like a good all rounder and the most affordable of the
bunch. I can only afford to ship a frameset to Australia so I will need t
