I've got one exactly like that, with the head tube not filled in with the
cream ascent color. Purchased second hand off this list in 2012, not sure
when it was made.

I've got a Hillborne which I've always used with noodle bars, but want to
convert it to upright swept back bars. Anybody else made a similar
conversion, and which bars did you get? Should I get a new stem?

I have a Sam Hillborne that I got through this list sometime 2012, it's
orange with side pull brakes, but the headtube is not filled in with the
cream color like all the other one's I've seen. It's just orange like the
rest of the bike. Was that a one batch mistake or were the early ones

I've got a Sam Hillborne and a Wald basket (medium) that I had rigged up
with a Racktime front rack. That combo proved problematic so I ditched the
Racktime rack. What are the better front rack alternatives for the Wald
basket? Is the Mark's rack good for the Wald baskets?

For those that have ridden both the Atlantis and Hillborne, how similar are
they riding-wise? I have a lovely Hillborne in orange that I think is
great and have used on a couple week long bike tours, but have always
wondered whether the Atlantis was better for touring. Hillborne seems

I have had two - one of the originals and one of the (relatively) new R2's.
The R2 works swell for me. I've ridden it on rides of 40-60 miles in
regular (non-padded) shorts with no problems.
