I hear ya, but the Sugino crankset and mtb derailleur aren't exactly
the Hilsen's most attractive attributes.

The AHH is one of four bikes featured in a bike commuting article in
the Oct issue. In addition to Kona and Masi, Surly also gets a nod
for the popular CC. The Hillborne (and GP) gets a mention, too.

Good idea, the samsonite trailer trick is pretty James Bond.
Or go for luxury solution and get a Moulton.

I just switched from 35mm paselas (no tour guard) to 28mm grand bois,
because I needed a replacement tire immediately and still had these hanging

The Brooks naugahyde bags aren't bad looking either, can't tell if the

The ENO crank won't work with the Quickbeam's 42mm chainline. You would need
a 103 mm bb instead of the 113 the ENO typically uses to achieve it. The
spindle of the 103 will be too short and the crank will bottom out. A track
crank such as campy or sugino 75 will be a much better fit.

I remembered this from the book "Cycling's Golden Age," about Jean

often lost the uphill advantage on the downhill due to his light

Shoe Goo is essentially the same product as Goop. Both are sealant/

Just a quick note--
We're introducing a new line of bags: Sackville (after the famous town
in Canada). They should be called Blackville, because they're black.
We'll have pixup on the site in a week or less, and if you've room for
another bag in you

I can understand where tapping a headtube could be tedious and
possibly invite the big "Uh-Oh!"

it so well. Most of my concern was about the integrity of the bond

While giving my AHH some post-ride love, I looked closely at the
headbadge. Is there some [good] reason RBW wouldn't fasten the
headbadge to the tube with screws or rivets as opposed to glue? It
appears they used a sealant/adhesive such as Goop. There is a
definite gap between the headtube and
I recall reading in November that the Sackville Bags should be

know the norm is that things get delayed and patients is the best

anything.

I figure these were popular since most bikes didn't have the braze on
