I had an huge tray-type rack on the back of my old Civic to carry a recumbent.
Loading it was ok, but folding it forward when no bike was on it was quite a
workout. That sucker was heavy!

The 1Up with the fender adapters work fine. I love this rack. But, the
OP is looking for a 4 bike carrier and the 1UP maxs at three.

You should chewck out the 1 up USA rack. I have had Thule and Kuat and I
like this one the best by far. Really easy to load a bike...

Over the weekend I replaced my old Honda Odyssey with a newer model,
necessitating a new hitch. The new van has light leather interior which would
show tire marks if I stowed kid bikes back there. I decided now would be ideal
to get a rack meant for 4 bikes (our old Hollywood rack held
