My favorite bike of all time, the 1999 Joe Starck gofast, with purity of line marred by Camper Longflap, since the bike is in temporary grocery mode while the 2003 serves as sacrificial model for its (God willing) replacement.
One huge advantage of 26" wheels (24.8" actual diameter with Elk Pass 559 X 28 mm tires) is the huge clearance for saddlebags. The Camper LF is strapped directly to the Flite's seat rails; not ideal, but fine for shorter distances. The bag gently nudges my dolphin-like thighs (to use Grant's image from long, long ago), but the greatest defect is that heavy items tend to bump against the seatstays over bumps. The new 2003 clone will have custom racks f and r. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Patrick Moore Alburquerque, Nuevo Mexico, Etats Unis d'Amerique, Orbis Terrarum -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
