I just picked up a 951 rapid rise derailer on Ebay. The listing said it's an 8-speed. I figured it might just be that's how the seller had it set up - I plan to use it on my 9 speed setup.
Then I bumped into someone selling 9sp pulleys for an XTR derailer, which got me wondering - do 951's have a specific 8sp or 9sp spec? If they do, is it because of different pulleys?
