This is probably antithetical for this blog since most people probably 
"just ride" and down involve autos anywhere in the process, but I thought 
I'd run it up the flag pole anyway:

Saris trailer hitch mount 2-bike rack, an older model but in great 
condition.  This unit mounts into a 1.25" Reese-type (square) trailer hitch 
and included with it is a pin that allows the rack to be locked to the 
hitch.  It's a rather heavy piece of hardware to ship so I'd prefer to sell 
it locally - within the general Chicagoland/Northeastern Illinois area. 
 Best offer on a purchase, but I'll throw out maybe $40 just to get things 
started.  Here are a few pics, one with the arms folder down for storage 
and another with the arms folded out for bike carrying (they're shown 
folded the wrong way, back toward the hitch mount because it was too 
awkward to get the hitch to stand up by itself and the car it was 
originally used on has been sold):
