In my attempt to balloonize my Hillborne I bought a set of 4 Marathon XRs on Ebay. Turns out they were just a hair too wide in front, and rubbed on the fork crown. That, combined with a temporary cashflow issue, led me to hatch a plan: Sell the Hillborne now, and save up for an Atlantis later, that will take these tires.
Well, the Atlantis idea is still there on the horizon, but the horizon is far. It's not even next on my bike acquisition plan list. So I sold a set of these tires to another group member, and I'm now offering up the other set to the group. $50 shipped for a pair of Marathon XRs. 700x50, and they measured a legit 49mm on Bontrager Fairlane rims. Pics of the tires. They are used, but have a TON of material left on them. Reflective sidewall strip, too.
