At a suggestion from my brother I added ~15 lb to the Fastgrips and they are far, far better. The Kojaks, a bit wider, seem to roll very well at sub 60 -- I guess some tires are just more sensitive to pressure. The FGs certainly feel more harsh than the Ks at the higher pressure -- in fact, they feel harsher than the Turbos or Michelin Pro Race 3s, both 22 mm, at 90-95. But they've gone from "Damn, these things really feel slower than the Kojaks" to "Do these things still feel slower than the Kojaks?" They are Fastgrip City Ks 1.25, and I suppose the "K" means "Kevlar" -- which around here is worth s*d all for goatheads -- got a flat on the way back from church just now.
I'd really like to try the Fastgrip City non-Ks -- does Avocet still make them? -- "Believe nothing until it has been officially denied." -- Claude Cockburn ------------------------- Patrick Moore, Albuquerque, NM, USA For professional resumes, contact Patrick Moore, ACRW http://resumespecialties.com/index.html ------------------------- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
