Hi all. First post. Great group; have lurked for a while. Functionally, I like the Schwalbe Marathon (with KevlarGuard, not the extra heavy version). Weight, tread, & construction suit my intended use, I think. i.e. on a Saluki, long and far, mostly pavement though enjoy diverting to loose surface when I see it. 50-85 PSI on pavement.
Just can't get excited about the black sidewalls (and reflective stripe). Silly me. There are tan/gum/white walled tires from Schwalbe, Panaracer, and Michelin in my size 37-590/26 x 1-3/8" but what I've read suggests (and my LBS backs this up) that the Marathon is a very nice tire and more flat-resistant than anything else short of a 700 gram tire. I must decide if I hate flats more than I love tan sidewalls... :) In the mean time... Thoughts are appreciated, especially if you've experienced both a Marathon and, say, a Col de la Vie. -Darren. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
