A year ago today, I brought my Betty Foy home from the bike shop. Rizzo's a
bike I've wanted for years, and when I finally laid eyes on her in her
completed state, she took my breath away. I had so many plans for this
bike, so many adventures, and fortunately I've been able to make a few of
them come true.

My health hasn't been the greatest, and the thing that hurts me most is
that she spends a lot of days in storage, just begging to be taken outside.
But even though I haven't been able to put in as many miles as I would have
liked, every time I'm on this bike she brings a smile to my face. I've
never had a better bicycle. I never get tired of looking down and seeing a
heart staring back at me, reminding me to smile, to not take things so
seriously, to just enjoy the ride and the beautiful scenery, whether I'm on
a city street or riding out somewhere in the country.

I look forward to many more years with her, and many longer rides after
I've recovered from knee surgery. Despite the setbacks, I can honestly say
that buying a Betty Foy was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Thanks for bringing so much joy to my life Grant (and the rest of the
Rivsters). Much, much love and admiration to you.
