Hi Joe, I think you are right, the CX70 derailleur cage is very narrow no matter how much fine tuning I do it still keeps rubbing. When I picked up my Cheviot at Riv, as per their recommendation I bought from them the CX70 together with the XD2 double not knowing that I will be using a 8 speed gea

Yeah I think joe is right, though it should have a small sweet spot with no rubbing. I used a 10 speed derailleur with a 7 speed cassette/chain and was able to get into most gears without rubbingswitching to a full 10 speed drivetrain definitely made things nicer though. -- You received th

I would like to seek your advise to help me build my 55 Cheviot. Bought it from Rivendell when I visited them last September 16, 2016. The headset, fork, and bottom bracket were pre-installed by Riv. This is my first full bike build so pardon my ignorance if I have chosen the wrong set of componen
