One season with a 46 cm Noodle convinced me I like a narrower drop bar. Homer's new cockpit is a Grand Bois Randonneur 42 cm. The bag is Berthoud's little Singer-style number. Hardly weighs a thing and looks classy, I think. Tape is Newbaum's lime green. The magnolia bush went from bare to flowers in five days!

I bought it for my commuter, which is Cross Check with Soma's Champs-Élysées low-trail fork. The Cross Check handles brilliantly with the loaded front bag (trail in the neighborhood of 45 mm). But you know, Homer does just fine with the same bag, too. Not *quite* as stable, not *quite* as easy to ride no-handed, but no troubles worth mentioning. Now to figure out a decaleur setup that will move seamlessly between the two bikes... A happy spring to all. -- Bob Cook -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
