[RBW] KMC chains noisy? Noise = wear?

I just replaced a cheap Sachs chain on one of my Riv fixies with an ever cheaper KMC chain that cost me, what, $4.95 at a LBS? It's a 3/32 chain. The ring and cogs are very little worn. The new chain makes a considerable racket. I've done heard that KMC chains are noisy: is this so? Does mo'

Thanks, Ryan -- I used this chain because it was in one of my boxes. I'll let it wear out and keep in mind the better KMCs. I don't mind if the cheapie wears quickly; just don't want it to do bad to my Ring and Cog. BTW: Bro-in-law says he'll help me install clutch kit when he visits in July;
