Oh, me too also. I love the IslaBikes website, and it all makes so much
sense ‹ quality bikes right-sized and equipped for children, not made in
China (matters to me, might not matter to you, don¹t wanna get in a big
thing about it, please). But shipping from the UK would nearly double the
cost of the bikes, which puts it out of range for us, especially considering
we have to buy two every time.

My guess is that the regulatory hurdles of NA distribution of products for
children are too daunting.

I wonder what would happen if we developed a sort of temporary co-op of
sorts to ship us a crate of those puppies? How many of each model would we
have to buy at one time to start saving real money on shipping? Or somesuch.

Rivendell content: I don¹t remember seeing such musing about Riv kids¹
bikes, but it¹s delicious to contemplate.

I would love to see that.  But it's almost a dedicated business.  Islabikes
in the UK <http://www.islabikes.com/>  has the best line of kid bikes that I
know of.  I soooo wish they had a NA distributer...
