Multiple times now the snaps on my TrunkSacks, large and small, mounted front
or rear racks, have unsnapped. Not a big deal on the front as the tombstone
holds them on and I can see it happen (though frustrating). However, the only
way to know the rear (large, as I only use the small on the front) hasn’t
fallen off is to look or feel. Only by great luck have a heard the thunk of it
coming off on rough trails or roads.

Ideas for making both TruckSacks:

— Easy on, easy off
— Solid, reliable retention system

My current solution is a poor one, and that’s to wrap a wee bungee from the
leather retainer around the rack. It clicks and only works like a “safety
chain” on a trailer.

With abandon,
Patrick
