No, not sammiges... this is about Preston, Brad & Jon. A week or so ago, Preston posted a thread looking into Riv riders in the Denver area, and Jon of the Foothills quickly connected. A couple email exchanges and we had a plan!
Jon had his Hillborne all kitted out, and Preston was rolling on an awesome diagatube Hunqapillar. My Atlantis is completely disassembled considering sale, so I was on the Rambler loaded up with coffee gear. Weather was exceptional...crisp air, blue skies, no wind...just perfect fall Colorado! We met south west of Denver in the town of Littleton at the Carson Nature Center which lies adjacent to the South Platte River and the Platte bike trail. We jumped on the trail headed north for a bit where we diverted eastbound on Lee Gulch Trail to hook up with the Highline Trail that Jon and I had ridden a couple weeks ago. We planned to stop for coffeeoutside at the same park pavilion we did last time, but would be approaching from the opposite direction. After some brew and tasty biscuits crisped up on Jon's new toaser gear, we packed up and continued north east on the Highline zig zagging through Denver. We hopped onto surface streets to cut a straight line west back over to the Platte Trail and back south to the Nature Center.
