Glad you got that 62, John!
I must say, that was the most perfectly appointed second hand bike I've
ever had my hands on. Literally nothing to change except maaaybe the tires.
Alas, I've been in idle negotiations for two of 'em, but neither one
totally did it for me.

Jeff’s sharp eye for Quickbeam headtubes is how I ended up with my 62. Jeff,
did you ever get a 60?

This usually works for me too but only if factoring in tire clearance. For

Cool. I was imagining something more like an archaeology dig or crash site,
where you only had the head tube and had to ID the bike based upon that
It does raise sort of an existential question about frame sizes though: If
you measure a seat tube to be 56 cm and it's really a 58 cm, will it
Yes. But that can be easily messed up if not to the right spot of the lug.
And the 56 and 58 are close in the top tube. I just want some extra data.

Okay, I'm curious. Wouldn't it be easier to ID a Quickbeam by just
measuring the seat tube?

So the 58 is likely a 170 in between is my guess.

In order to help me ID a Quickbeam sizewise, can any owners help me out?
Can you tell me your respective headtube lengths for a 56, 58, and 60?
Thanks!
