Then I must get one -- or two; I've been breaking valve cores with some pumps. What's the best (= best price X best service) source? Neither nearest nor dearest (= favorite) LBSes have them. On Fri, Oct 30, 2009 at 11:49 AM, RoadieRyan wrote: > > +2 on the Lezyne > > I have been using the Press

+2 on the Lezyne I have been using the PressureDrive S and really like it, the design is smart and fills up a tire fast and hey that even had a blue one that matched my bike ;-) But seriously if you have ever had the " I have pumped a zillion strokes with this *&^%$ mini pump and my tire still

+1 on Lezyne... I have the PressureDrive M and a PressureDrive S... They are the only two mini-pumps I've used successfully more than once (I don't think I'm very graceful when pumping, I guess). The "M" (for "medium") will fit in many bags, tightly even into a Keven's; the "S" ("small") even fits

I've been tempted to purchase a quality telescoping "mini" but regularly use my "Joe Blow" floor pump for topping off. I use various full size frame pumps on the rare occasion that I have a flat on the road and don't find them difficult to use. I also own and use some less expensive minis and don

The Portland Design Works Poco pump is smart, small, lightweight and it works. And it doesn't hurt that, for me at least, PDW is a local company. Good stuff. Our shop sells them. Beth --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the

I'm tempted by a Lezyne, at least for my gofast (I'll save, what, 100 grams? That's got to make me faster, right?) I like the idea of the hose, but how many strokes to get a thin tire to 100 psi? As for frame pumps, I've not liked the Morphs: I've had the hoses break, and as Steve said, you bend d

Rivendell frames come with pump pegs so in my mind a Rivish pump is a frame pump. I have a Blackburn frame pump I've been using for years with no problems at all. I know mini pumps have a come a long ways but I still prefer frame pumps. In fact, I need to get a second one. I might try the one Riv

I got a Mountain morph on tour, works very well for topping up tires in the morning. Trying to add 5lbs with a frame pump with the wheel on the bike is difficult. I still carry a frame pump when not on tour, I use the Demetri method and brace the pump head on my foot or fence post, I can quickly

Here's why I said Riv-ish - 1) Bamboo handle (seems to fit in with the whole tweed/leather/steel theme at Riv) 2) Lifetime warranty- according to the company, they'd rather fix it than have it end up in a landfill 3) They donate a portion of the profits to environmental groups 4) Catalog is 100

It depends on what you mean by Riv-ish. I think that in order for something to be Riv-ish or BOBish it has to do its prescribed function, and do it well. I think any pump that looks pretty, that matches the leather bar wrap or Brooks saddle but that actually does a poor job of actually pumping up
