My only suggestion is to get yourself a bike-geek friend who preferably
lives close by. Down the block is best, although good* bike-geeks are
somewhat rare, and you may not be so lucky. Anyway, I know this is the way

net are valuable resources. I can pretty much do everything I need to fix on

+1 for supporting your LBS even I support mine still after taking 2 bike
mechanic courses through the winter months.

I was about to say announcements for bike maintenance clinics, for women
hopefully.
Men address problems differently and behave differently when problem solving in
an all male setting. Having taught those clinics I can say that an audience of
all women, they get the key points better, faster, w
