On the rear, after opening the brake qr squeeze the pads to the rim and pop the
cable housing out of the rear stop in the top tube.

I will have to try that next time I replace the cables. My pads aren't too
close. But I can see them being wider apart. There is a sizeable gap
between them and the rim. But maybe if I can get them set wider to where I
can squeak my 36mm Loup Loups throug
I use the 700x45 Continental Tour Ride with fenders.

Paul cp did not reach far enough in mine to be comfortable. Partly a function
of the rims. The diacompe has more reach and stops as well.

Did you keep the R559 brake on the rear?
With the 50s do you have to deflate the tire to install ?
I'm getting a 60 cm Cheviot and was looking at the 50 Big Bens no fenders.

Replaced the front with a diacompe center pull and am able to run 47 with
fenders. This is on the 60cm Chev. Smaller sizes my differ.
