Well that was a comical journey. After all that discussion of what would fit on the Cheviot, I bought the Byways and couldn't get them to seat on my rims. After hours of messing with that today it dawned on me that I still have the Continental Double Fighter II tires that came on my Appaloosa.

Joe, I've had the same issues mounting tires you describe. If you're using tubeless compatible rims then you should be using tubeless rim tape. Its slick and thin. Helps the bead seat better. Lubing the bead with some soapy water then pumping them up to the max pressure will sometimes get them

I have the same tires and had the same seating issue. solved it by pumping them way too high and hoping the bead would pop into place... which it eventually did. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. To unsubscribe from this

Whelp, they're definitely cushier and look great, but I can't get 'em fully seated to save my life..both tires have a low spot creating a hobby horse ride. Did I screw up buying tubeless compatible tires? https://photos.app.goo.gl/yJw11LDAuKK9JNcX9 -- You received this message because you are

Oh that's right, you have the cream tires..very cool. I went with WTB Byway 650 x 47 with the bit of knobbies on the sides. I think they'll fit and I think the tan sidewall ones look sweet. Hey, you two-speeded it! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups

Yeah I got it used and they were on there. the front brake pads are dead center in the slot. The clearance issue is the way all the tektro brakes hang down so far below the mounting bolt. The Pauls and the Shimanos are much higher/lower profile depending on how you look at it. My Ram has

Yes, "ebike compatibility" is a bit of a hedge against lunatics on 70-pound bikes running 35mph like it's a motorcycle. That's not me and I'm not focused on a specific ebike tire, I just need something bigger and cushier. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google
