That pump might love to live on your seatstay, with a strap-on peg or a
rugged looking brazed peg. If you do it I'll do it! (I've got 2 pegs
waiting for me to work up the nerve and add them to my Clem and Quickbeam)

Bob,
What a beautiful bike! Thanks for the additional photos. That is a great setup.
Yes, your brake cable guides are positioned differently from mine. Helicopter
tape is a good idea.
I look forward to photos of your 650b project.
All the best,

Let me know if that does not show something needed. The brake cable run

Bob,
Thanks for sharing that solution. Would you share a photo showing the brake
cable route from bar to pump peg? On my Cheviot the brake cable guide is on
the top left of the upper sloping top tube. So I am curious how your
cable/housing run.
Also, can you still mount a frame pump with
Maybe a silly question, but does the pump peg still function as a pump peg with
the cable routing through it? If no, maybe best to use a hacksaw and file to
rechristen it vestigial nub?
I'm really impressed with the drill job, I'd just worry about unnecessary
rubbing coming into play.

I bought my Cheviot when in Denver and my greatly skilled bike person at
Queen City Cycles, Ethan, had the steady hand to drill a small hole in the
rear pump peg. This allowed a straight through cable routing for the rear
Paul centerpull. He also suggested the reverse/underside mounting of
I was thinking (wondering) if a Paul Racer could be used just before
reading your mention of having done so. Have you or has anyone you know of
ever posted an image of how one might set the brake up?

Seems cool and desirable to me. If I wasn't waiting on an Atlantis, I'd be
tempted.

Hi, Thanks for the compliments...Seat posts can be reversed...Height can be
adjusted...There is NO RESERVE... FREE Shipping in CONTIUSA. But yes you
can pick up if in NC?
Please tell someone who appreciates what a great savings and what a nice
bicycle ( Male or Female) can be enjoyed.
Thanks,
I have a 60cm chev and can't say enough good things about it, except for
the weird stuff I had to do to get the rear Paul Racer centerpull to work.
This color combo is definitely appealing.

Thanks, Keith. At the top it says "local pickup only," and I didn't see
the contradictory bit at the end of the description. I guess I need to go
back and look at it more carefully.

Actually, it says free shipping anywhere in US. I looked too, but can't afford
at the moment. You, however, are out of excuses. ;-)

I saw it and considered it for about 3 seconds until I saw that it's
pick-up only in North Carolina. It does look good.
