I have seriously considered that! I might just go with a 65cm Mustard Clem and
a Large tandem. The Clem could always go to my future son in law if he proves
worthy enough.

You are clearly missing and needing a "long" bike, but the new XL Clem will get
you that, without going custom.

David & Esteban,
For each of you a Legolas like custom would be perfect. I thought Grant stated
a semi-custom Leg is a possibility if you order from the non-published menu.
However your 48mm tires and 650B wheels might not fly for less that full custom
price.

I have a '99 Joe/Joe Road Custom that fits a 32 max tire. Its sublime. If I
were to jump on a custom these days, as discussed with some pals this
weekend, I'd get Legolas geometry and tubing but with 650B and capacity for
48mm tires, ie. "road plus"

Thanks Ryan. I do agree, the Riv custom look is quite seductive. Quite the
stable of terrific and versatile rides you'll have!

well...I have a 1997 Riv-allrounder which I really like a lot, and a 2001
Riv road custom which I also really like a lot...I love the classic riv
decals and I wanted something really special where I had a little more
input. I know the customs are a bit spendy , but worth every penny
On Monday,
Ryan,
Congratulations on your upcoming Riv custom and retirement! I just retired
but have two Rivs. Not sure I could convince my wife I need a "retirement
Riv".
Anyway, your new mixte sounds like a beauty. In recent months I have
pondered a mixte since there will come a time in the not too dist
Nice Ryan! Maybe this will ease the sting a bit - there's no PST on bikes, only
GST.

I rode my pink custom mixte from Silverlake to Eagle Rock, here in LA, and got
so many compliments and smiles as I rode by Traders and my company's mailbox
store. I have the same set up with 650 B's. I remember when Riv posted the pics
on Instagram the painter said, "I hope she likes the color!"
And a most excellent gift indeed. I can't wait to see it!

Ryan,
I am tempted to go for a custom mixte also. But at 6'7" 240 not sure if Grant
would go giant for me. Already looking at a jumbo/now large tandem or 2

Just so many options for a custom and only a one time option for me. Always
