That was my experience as well. Some of the posts suggest everyone has not been so fortunate, glad you were. My Hunqa has exceeded all my expectations - enjoy! Bob On Jul 9, 2016 3:52 PM, "Bob B" wrote: > I got my Hunq yesterday and, viola, I'm done building it as of this > morning! (maybe I'll

I got my Hunq yesterday and, viola, I'm done building it as of this morning! (maybe I'll share pics in a thread later...) *UPDATE on the subject of this thread:* BB was clean and went in easy, everything installed w/o any chasing necessary. So the thread was a moot point, but I learned a few th

Hmm, when I worked in a shop "long" ago prepping a new frame was standard practice. One of those "duh's" . Prep meant chasing/reaming/facing everything that could be done. It appears this is not done so much these days. Always ask and request it to be done because unless noted beforehand

You don't mention anything about the steering tube, fork crown, head tube surfaces so I'm assuming that it shipped with a headset installed. However, even it it did, I found out the hard way on my Ram that the fork crown seat for the bottom cartridge bearing was not cleaned of paint or primer

Thanks Keith and Kevin, At the suggestion of Bill Lindsay in an older thread, I got myself a tap and die (5mm and .8 thread pitch). I think this will take care of the bottle bosses, rack, and fender mounts, right? So I'll have to look out for the BB threads. Checked with a couple of my LBS's a

Yeppers, we know a thing or two about Rivs at the Bicycle Pro Shop. If you stop in the Georgetown store one of my Rivs is usually hanging by the front door. Right now all three are there when I'm in. People are usually surprised to see them with all the high zoot carbon dohickies in the shop.

Bob - The only threads I had to have redone on my Hunq were the fender mounts. The first was problematic (in fact, I snapped a Nitto screw off inside, thinking that I could use it to muscle through the paint instead of tapping it as I should have), so I had the local bike shop (Bicycle Pro Shop
