Hi Mike,
You were right, P&S makes two different size racks.
I had emailed Matt how much clearance I needed over my front tire/fender,
but Matt must have been too busy & pre-occupied to mention rack sizes or to
remember to ask me about the details of my bike.
But in response to my last em
Thanks Mike, Matt did not say anything about different size racks in his
emails, but to make sure, I just sent him another email to ask if my tire
size was something I should have specified. I had told him before how much
clearance I needed from the fork to the top of my fenders.
Cheers,
John
P&S make two kinds of racks. They're not custom. One of them is for 29ers
so it has taller clearance. But like others have said, email Matt.

I thought all the Pass & Stow racks were made to order. If this is the
case, the size is what you want it to be, right?

Hi Dan,
Well, if the Pass & Stow fits over your Nitto Mini, I would think there
should be enough clearance over my tires & fenders.
Thanks,
John

Thanks Rene, this would certainly give me more than enough clearance.

Pass Stow made front racks for two of my customs. Pretty sure if you
e-mail Matt with your needs he will make a rack to accommodate.

I'll check mine tomorrow. I seem to recall 14.75 inches clearance. The P&S rack
does fit over the Nitto mini front on my Bombadil.
Not sure if he has a 26" and a 700c/29" version of the sides.
More tomorrow.

My P&S rack, currently unmounted, has exactly 15 1/4" from the center of
the bolt hole to the bottom of the mounting plate that attaches it to the
fork crown.

Boy, it sure is a good thing I came back and reread your answer, 15" of
clearance from the axel just barely clears my fender.
After you answered, I was measuring from the eyelet on the fork, not the
axel as you had specified.
At least I hadn't pulled the trigger on the Pass & Stow rack yet.
Hi John,
Thanks for your help, that's great news. That will give me plenty of
clearance!
Cheers,
John Phillips

As best i can measure, the P/S rack on my Sam has 15" of clearance from the
center of the wheel. 3/4" of this is due to the eyelet being above the axle.

Hi Minh, I was going to mount the Big Front rack just as shown in the Riv
video, but I would need more than 15 1/4" to clear my front fender.
Measuring the Nitto BF rack, I have a maximum of 14 7/8" from the lower
eyelet to the underside of the top of the rack.
Thanks,
John
On Saturday, Au
John,
Pictures of how you're trying to mount the big front? I have one, and
can't see how you're short on clearance, i have tons!
