FWIW, I find bar end brake levers by far my favorite on such swept back bars. With Alba bars I have the shifters mounted just around the inside of the curve top, so my hands are free to use the whole bar. Using the brakes is so much easier too than mtb levers since you can brake with either

I have used them on some porteur handlebars, which are kind of like narrower Choco bars. I personally wouldn't recommend using them. Heavy braking is difficult from the ends. Because of the leverage you have on the ends of the levers in an emergency stop, they may rotate on the bars, no matter
