You would be wrong. I work in a community garden, we have Bahco tools. They are good. We like them a lot. Considerably better than the Chinese crap at Home Depot. You would be wise to get the VO model. You get utility and longevity. The Riv hatchet lineup is precious. You pay for exclusivity.

Something about the VO one makes it look like a Home Depot house brand. I agree they all seem a bit frivolous to most but they could really come in handy if you do go camping a lot. I always try to buy good stuff once than crappy stuff over and over again and feel this product would fall into that
