What Chris said. I don't have my bike to measure right now, but my saddle
height is 91 cm and the straps that came with the large SaddleSack didn't
reach. It works fine after swapping them for longer ones.

I've got about 9" and that's about right
But, worst case, get longer leather straps to hang? I also attach the
bottom of my saddlesack to the rack with bungie balls, so it's pretty damn
secure

12", there was a bit of a gap w/ the Large saddlesack, but there wasn't
much swaying and very minimal thigh rub (not much gap & no rub when fully
