He means that the photo of the rim/tire combo isn't up to the same
standards of Manny's cover photo.

Eric,
My apologies. I reread this and my poor attempt at humor flailed about. I'm
no Mike-on-the-hill either! Grin. We are all Mike-on-the-hill, when we take
the unexpected road to the unexpected nowhere and look back to see just how
far we've come.

Ahh, I get it. Thanks. I was thinking it was some pop culture reference
that I wasn't familiar with, like an old movie quotation or something.

Well, you're not a Mike-on-the-hill, but who is? Other than Mike. On the
hill. Grin.
Mike-on-the-hill: Phrase coined by Grant P. on April 18, 2013 referring to
the benchmark of quinticential bicycle riding as an unracer in the wilds.

I believe he is referring to the the previous paragraph about Mike on the
Hill and the pic taken by Manny. I believe he is saying that the look of
the tire on the rim isn't as pretty as the pic of Mike on the Hill.

I think he must be referring to Mike cresting the hill in the photo from
the Merry Sales cover. Using the photo as a benchmark of cool, the rim and
tire combo is cool but not *as *cool.
