Yes, the rack is a stainless Tubus Cosmo.
It's a beautiful bike, a Bomba without a toptube! Perhaps Riv should
do a run of topless Bombas? Great standover clearance, and they should
be a bit cheaper to make, to boot.

Yes, the lugs appear to be from the Glorius, the fork is presumably
from the Bomba. But if you want to turn this into a production model,
a Bomba without a toptube seems to be the obvious way to go. Certainly
would be very easy to implement.

Okay, just looked at the new Bomba. Can't just leave off the toptube.
Certainly would need at least a different headtube/diagotube lug.
Probably would have to have the diagotube intersect the headtube
higher up, as well. But seems like a smart mix of Bomba and Betty lugs
and tubes could still get
Yup. Stand corrected (again). That is one seriously nice bike. The
brown is nice and muted. But still rich looking. (As opposed to the
wheels, which are probably Rich looking.)
Strangely enough, neither of the Rivendell columns are updated in my
iGoogle reader at present.

Anyone recognize the rear rack? Looks kinda Tubus but maybe something
else? Nice clean look.

I LOOOVE the idea of a mountain mixte. Really cool idea. Wonder how
the stock Bettys/Yves would hold up to trail use?

they're supposed to be pretty great, but wow with clearance for 60mm or so

Betting it wasn't for public consumption. Rivendell used to (might
still?) have a section for customers to see the bike before it's
shipped.
As to a mountain mixte, Mongoose made them at one point. My wife
(then girlfriend) had one as her first bike. Long and heavy. But
pretty cool chrome.
The Knothole post was titled mountain mixte and had text describing
the bike. I bet they are just editing it to get us our BIG PICTURES

The mountain mixte is now up. Beautiful.

So it appears the wait for a Riv custom is now under a year but the
price is going up. Looks like you can save $500 if you order before
the end of the year. Not in the cards for me right
