Be careful with bus racks! I had the horrible gut wrenching experience
of watching my brand new Atlantis fall face first off of a bus rack
@40+mph!!! Holy EFFing ESS that was horrible!!! Luckily (if I can call
it that), it was only $500 in damage to my Nitto noodles, NOS campy SR

You pretty much hit the nail on the head in terms of major aesthetic
differences. I did make a special request to ensure the mid-stays
were curved, like the Glorius. One minor thing is there is no graphic/
decal/panel on the seat tube (which is on both BFs and customs).

Oh, I noticed the hub but not the light. Just seemed like you were riding
around in the dark there, but I suppose the light was being thrown out of
frame. Nice setup.

Thank you :) I would love to see photos of your bike, and the BF. I
contemplated doing the same with a BF instead of going the custom
route, but I was in-between sizes, and didn't want to compromise on
fit. Also, the lugs pushed me towards the custom route as well.

Now that I look back at the photos of the bike mounted on a bus, you
may be right. My other (non-riv) bike has the Wald Medium basket zip-
tied to a rear rack, and it has proven to be invaluable on rides with
friends. "Hey, want to go to this party at ___'

Rear rack and fold out wire pannier baskets or cloth grocery
panniers...IMHO Absolutely beautiful bicycle. A custom rack
painted to match might be equally fancy as well as the Honjo fenders
but they can be easily dented on a "transpo bike".

I have held back on putting on a front rack, because I plan on
occasionally placing it on a bus rack. I think a small rack +
optional ziptied basked would work well. However, I did not like how
the front end swayed from one side no the other in general when I had
the front basket.

That is the most gorgeous bike I've seen on this site. I love the
color. I have a go fast bike in that color now and plan on getting a
Betty Foy painted a similar shade. Good for you for getting a custom
mixte. I wish I could afford one but the BF will have to do for now.

Wow, that is a great looking mixte, for the front rack, if you really
plan on using it that way, get a nitto mini front and tie the basket
to that, or get a pletscher, or a wald woody goody. i'd love to hear
the backstory on this bike, what you plan to use it for, the ss
couplers are intriguing :)

The bike actually has a SON dynamo hub on the front wheel that powers
a Supernova E3 front light. This light is currently mounted to the
fork crown, but I have been advised to remove that mount and put on a
front rack.
