Hugh, Thanks for the compliment. It's not flat, it's gloss powder coat. I still might paint the head tube and lug cutouts ivory.  The green has a richness and peaceful quality that I like more every day. Green and brown, the colors of nature which seems appropriate for a touring bike, "doncha
