I found this out the hard way when I installed on on a Flite: the downward
angle (Brooks rails make much closer to a 90* bend at the rear) put the
saddle onto the rear tire, even though the frame was 58 cm c-c and the
tires 559X23.
Does Carradice still make the original bolt-to-rails attachment
In an earlier post, I said that the Nitto saddlebag clap with quick-
release skewer (can’t remember official name of the product) only
works with Brooks saddles.
To clarify, it only positions the saddlebag where it should be
relative to the saddle, on a classic Brooks such as the Pro, B-17 and
so

And I say, this thing is da bomb. I have used it on tour, and like
everything Nitto, it's great.
BUT I think it only works with Brooks saddles.
Which is unfortunate.

I have used the Viva Saddlebag loops also. They aren't the
greatest, but they work. I pu them on my folder which I use when

I've used the Nitto grip on Terry saddles, WTB saddles and an Avocet
saddle. So, yes, I'll be disagreeing with that part.
It is a great item. Have two, although neither is on a bike at the
moment.

Huh? The whole point of the Nitto handle is that it mounts to saddles
without bag loops. I used one on a Specialized saddle, and only sold it
here because I switched to Brookses.

Funny that this came up right after I got the following reply from Avocet. I
would guess that they won't be including loops, but you never know:
James,
Currently not in production but I plan to bring them back for this coming

I'd snag that Avocet Touring saddle that Robert Perks just posted.
I've been riding one recently and it is good...says the man with a

Velo Orange sells, or used to sell, bolt-on saddle rail loops. I don't like
them, but they are better than the Cyclos.
