Hey - I've been thinking about doing the Chilly Hilly - but...I'm in the DC area, my daughter lives in Seattle and I visit a lot. I don't have a bike in Seattle (yet!) but she has a 'town bike' - some low gears but definitely not in any way similar to my Bleriot (or other bikes). Very upright
