I am using the 42 jim on an old stumpy, w and 36-24 up front, and on a gus, w a 36 1x. it rules and i will be adding one to my 650b rb 2 eventually. i am using a wolftooth road link on both, not the best looking but doesn't wreck the look of either bike. On Sunday, April 9, 2023 at 8:36:46 PM

Scott - For my derailer, yeah, I needed an extender to use the 42t cassette, but with the extender it worked great, even in 24x42, and 38x42. in 24x42 it was very very spinny, I probably have looked down to check it the chain came off before. On Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 2:29:36 PM UTC-7 g

JS - For a few months now, I've been using the 13-42 on my Clem with the stock 38/24 chain rings. I've rarely switched to the 24, so if I were setting it up again, I'd be comfortable using it as a 1x. 90% of my use is hauling kids over small hills in SF, and a bit of trail riding. I'd say it
