He liked the Hunter well enough. He's friends with Rick (the builder)
and got a good deal on the bike. The squishy fork wasn't really needed
and he felt like the 26 wheels slowed him down on descents. Obviously
we didn't maximize the carrying capacity of either of our bikes but I
guess it was nice
Jealous! I really miss riding in the Northwest--used to go out there every
summer to visit family and ride, but they moved. I'd probably have to trim
your route to 60 or so miles per day and take a little longer to enjoy it
but man, sure the NW sure is pretty...

Just finished looking at your trip photos... there were some beautiful
sections and some scary. dry desolate sections.
Some day I'm going to get up there and do some tours. Maybe next summer.
That long Hunter looked like a bus, how did your friend like the bike after
the ride was over?
Heading out from Packwood and up to Cayuse Pass the traffic wasn't too
bad. The road doesn't have much of a shoulder but everyone gave us a
wide berth. Riding out of White River Campground there seemed to be
more traffic. We had a close call with a truck and trailer that buzzed
us but other than
