Thanks for the offer, but looking for a more slick version of a wide tire.
But, doing a little more digging, I am now concerned about self steer on
the wide tires. Have you had experience with that at all?

Have you checked the prices on any German websites? I bought a set of g-ones
for $45/tire (shipped) from one of those sites.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I have a pair of unused G-One
Allround 27.5 x 2.25, still in their boxes. These are the Evo version. I
mounted one with a tube but it was just a hair too big for comfort at the
chainstays. $75 plus shipping for the pair?
