+1 for registering on Bike Index, it totally works!
One of my time-wasting habits is to browse CL for used bikes and parts. I
saw a suspicious post the other day, checked Bike Index, and sure enough it
was a stolen bike! Just now heard back from the owner that she recovered
her bike.

to China Camp, probably taking the train to SF from Palo Alto. It's in my

That's a good point I hadn't thought of. It just so happens I used
photos of my bike in front of the wall outside my house, so that
works. But, I'm thinking even better would be to include a photo of
yourself with the bike. Put that on bikeindex, and it's gonna be
pretty hard to refute.

I registered my Atlantis and attached two pictures. Took maybe 3-4 minutes.
If the LBS folks and others keep a weather eye on the stolen list this
should be an effective way to get the word out if you ever need too. What's
nice is you can list your parts, if you want. I

the local police, if such registration is available. I've done it in

It's a 55 with 700c wheels. Yeah, fenders would be nice, but I hardly
