With Waterford frames, you can call them and order actual touchup paint to
match. However those models are not Waterford, so if I were you I'd just
call Riv and inquire about the actual touchup paint. They aren't going to
force red nail polish down your throat if you tell them you want an actual

Cyclofiend has a page on touching up Rivendells - "RBW Touch-up Paint
Recommendations", but I believe that it mostly has color recommendations
for the earlier bikes. I don't know how to create a link.

You could call RBW. In some ramblings Grant stated Atlantis was a testors

I do clear also but for colors try a (if you have one) hobby/model/craft
shop that sells Testors Enamel paint in the little 1/4 oz. jars . My frame
builder suggested them if I needed a color and even suggested which ones to
mix. I used Testors as a kid too, for the diy model kits and rockets we
Try your local paint store. They typically sell sample 4 oz cans of any
color at very little cost. You can take some chips, match it to your
frames and then they'll mix up gloss in that color for you. Will come very
close, but not likely to be a perfect match.

I really love beusage (is that how grant spells it?) on steel bikes. and i
don't want to have to match colors, which never quite works. so i use clear
nail polish. protects the frame while still keeping the character of
nicely-worn painted steel.
