I think the small saddlesack is perhaps the most perfect bike bag for regular,
non tour, non full change of clothes riding. My wife has absconded with my
olive small, and im having a bit of an existential crisis in whether to go for
the blue small or the blue medium.

Thanks for that observation and suggestions. This being my 30-year-old
56cm-ish Trek, rather than my 59cm-ish Rivs, I've got more than fistful of
saddle post...but I like the clipboard idea, and will put it to use.

Hi Bill,
One caution: if you're riding a smaller bike and don't have much space
between the saddlesack and tire, there may be rubbing with a heavy load.
I've used an Irish strap around the bottom corner and over the wood dowel
to lift it up a bit.
