I have one of those black ones. Probably will buy some roller bear
kits to keep them alive for a long time. Velo Orange actually has a
pretty good selection of threaded headsets from Tange and itself. It
has a wholesale business now and Box Dog Cycles, for example, sells
stuff from VO.

With all due respect to Velo-Orange, your LBS probably has, or can
easily order Tange headsets from any wholesaler. If you don't have a
LBS or don't like your LBS, that's another matter.

black; 1/1 and 1/8;
Back when all headsets had ball bearings, the A9 was revolutionary by
having needle bearings. This feature prevented these headsets from
developing the notchiness that sometimes plagues headsets with ball
bearings. It was also pretty lightweight, being made of alloy and
plastic when steel
