Thank YOU everyone!!! I'm at 284 and need to drop about 100lbs. Going to call
in the morning about the broken Hunq. Didn't know about that. And yes ... Need
to lay off the bagels and carbs in general. Just found out my son is getting
married in June. That's some real motivation !!! Sure do

I emailed Keven and he said it's a 54. It's MY size, not yours. muahahaha!
In all honesty I will not likely be making a run at that broken-pillar, but
if any of you are an 84-88 PBH person and want to save money on a
good-as-new 'pillar

Maybe you should call Keven at Rivendell and ask him if the broken Hunqa in the
BLUG is a 62. If it is, make them an offer. They are going to fix it and
paint it anyway. Might as well be yours!

I agree Grant may be a bit conservative but a Hunq is a fantastic bike. I'm
on the heavier side myself (250 and hopefully dropping a bit) and have both
a 62cm Hunq and a 66cm Quickbeam. I've had no trouble at all with the QB.
I've even gone camping with way too much stuff on the QB without issue.
Thank you BOTH for the information and your input. Sitting straighter up versus
leaned over is important for my lower back. Also a more comfort ride versus a
skinny tire ride.
If you wouldn't mind fielding these questions, I'd be grateful.
Is this a frame that would be appropriate for

Sorry, hit sent accidentally before I finished.
Im tall, about 100lbs overweight and want to be healthier and weigh leas
long term, but for now im heavy. It was because of that that Grant
auggested the Hunq.
You can't go wrong following Grant's recommendation, but I do think he

Peter, I'm newer on here. Is this similar to the Hunquapillar? If I'd need a
62cm in the Hunquapillar would there be a way that w the seat lowered this
could work for me? Not sure how to figure this out. Thanks in advance.

The Renovelo offered now started as a Rambouillet, which is pretty
different from a Hunq. The size is fairly similar, 60cm top tube/88cm
standover for the Renovelo vs 62TT/91 standover for the Hunq. But the
Hunq takes a much wider tire and canti brakes. If you can live with
35mm tires, it's a
If you need a 62 Hunq, then you probably need the seat raised with the 64
Renovelo you see. This Renovelo has a 2 degree up sloping TT. The Hunq's
corresponding angle is 6 degrees. This results in the Hunq's head tube position
being 4 cm higher than the 2 degree bikes, given equal seat tube
And as a follow-up, the following Rivendell's are in the 6 degree sloping TT
category: Bombadil, Hillborne, Hunqapillar, San Marcos
The following are the more horizontal TT models: Atlantis, AHH, Roadeo,
Rambouillet, Romulus, Legolas, Quickbeam, Simpleone
In the second category, AHH's angle is

On second thought, ignore what I said about raising the seat. Everything else I
said was true but it is true that with the Expanded frames you do show more
seatpost. So yes, the 64 cm Renovelo would show less seatpost than a 62 cm
Hunq. However, the 62 cm would feel like a bigger
A chance to own a truely one of a kind frame. Wonder if they have a
spare headbadge laying around?

Does the absence of Renovelo threads comments indicate zero interest?
Or, quite the opposite, are we all so eager to see what comes out that
it doesn't need saying, and we don't want too many people to snap them
all up? Lord knows I want my chance to see them and decide not to buy
one, rather
