I went with the blue that matches the lug paint, with clear shellac. Still
loving my bike. Big plans for some fun rides on it this week.

I think the one you have in the photo is navy with clear shellac. Eggplant is
always good with clear or amber. Grassy green with amber gets very dark. The
light/bright turquoise with amber makes a sort of neutral olive drab that I'm
liking these days.

I came close to buying Dan's very generously priced 55cm Cheviot (recently
offered on this list). I test road it and enjoyed it...but since I'm in the
Bay Area I decided to try riding a 50cm first and realized that's the right
frame for me...so I'm buying new instead.
