Hello,
My name is Johnny. I live in Belgium and I'm Riv Curious. I post from time
to time on the iBOB group.
I've been obsessed with the idea of owning a Riv for a while. I'm
particularly interested in the Atlantis and Appaloosa.
Could anyone tell me the stack & reach numbers for a 55cm Atlan

Whoops, sorry about that! Here are the frames you selected:

I have found bikeinsights to be wrong on both Stack and Reach for Rivendell
bikes. They don't take into account the head-tube extension built into
Riv's lugs.

I don't know if every model is wrong on Bike insights but when they skip
the 20mm head-tube extension in the calculated values, the Stack would
actually be 19mm higher and the reach 6mm Less.

I have also found on some of the older Rivendell models with 2°-3°
sloping top tubes Bike insights mixes up the effective top tube and
calls it the actual top tube and then calculates a longer effective
top tube.

Ah, I was wonndering about that. Any idea how long those extensions
generally are? I'm wondering if I can get away without a riser stem.

The current (2020) 57cm appaloosa is also 10mm longer in the toptube than
the old (2017-2019) 58cm. This caught me offguard because they specifically
stated that all measurements were the same when they are not. Bike insights
is listing 61.5 TT when it is currently 62.5
